Stephans programs really challenged me. There was a different program every few weeks and every week they got that little bit harder and pushed me that little bit further. I did notice great difference in my body shape as the weeks progressed and my level of fitness rose tremendously over the whole 6 months. Not only did I loose weight, but I was well prepared for the London Triathlon which I competed in, in August 2009. I highly recommend training with Stephan. Even though I was based in London, his programs were so concise and clear that I felt he was actually there in the gym training with me.

As a triathlete I wanted to improve my time at the London Triathlon 2009 (Olympic distance). Living in London, Stephan and I had to communicate through email and he provided me with a 6 week training program that combined both weight resistance training and cardiovascular training during the week and just cardio training (cycling and running) on the weekends.
After the 6 weeks program I received a 4 week revised program leading up to the triathlon. Stephan changed my program completely to guarantee that I would be ready to beat my personal best. Sure enough, I managed to beat my time by 14 minutes.
As I will be running my first marathon in New York City later this year (2009) I will once again look to Stephan to provide me with a program to ensure I make the finish line.
If you are looking for a knowledgeable trainer who has a broad background in sports and a personal interest to see you succeed, whatever your sports goals, I can thoroughly recommend you have a talk with Stephan. It sure has worked for me.

I came to Stephan as someone who was quite sporty in their twenties but found that good food and remote controls had made me quite sedantary ten years later. I was 25kg overweight and didnt know where to begin. I had tried exercising myself, but motivation was hard to come by when it came to donning the running shoes and was impossible to find after 15 minutes when I was out of breath and embarrassed by my lack of conditioning. Stephan took a holistic approach and advised me on everything from lifestyle to diet, he came up with a training plan for my personal targets and changed it to suit my lifestyle. My job involves being oncall and Stephan managed to accomodate this also. I get bored easily and am quite competitive (not good for the ego when you're out of shape), so Stephan introduced some boxing and martial arts training into the sessions.
Stephans patience and good natured acceptance of my grumbling for the first 4 weeks impressed me most and his ability not to laugh during our first runs will not be forgotten.
During the past 3 months Stephan has joined with me and taken a full part in my sessions. It is my aim, next year, to make sure he wont be able to keep up in the next 3 months.
